The metal beneath the egg pawn's feet suddenly became unstable, keeping the machine from catching its balance as light blades slammed into its torso, driving it backwards as interior components exploded.
As the Raiders dashed past it, Yuki spread ice to the side, making the egg pawns scrambling to pursue them scramble instead to try and keep their balance. Damien further added to the chaos by destroying the egg pawns trying to put out fires and bring the mayhem in the hanger bay under control.
The Raiders had a clear dash for the exit.
In the middle of the hangar, one of the gunpawns managed to right itself and began firing into the air, trying to take down Aidan and Damien.
Elyas, in the lead, made it to the exit first. After diving through the door with rifle raised to confirm nothing was waiting for them, he turned back to the hangar, back against doorframe, and began firing into the egg pawns, laying down covering fire as the others raced up to join him.
Aidan felt a wave of fatigue briefly wash over him at the electrical display, but the ambient charge in the air seemed to invigorate him at the same time. He began flapping after the others, letting out a little shout of alarm as laser blasts began filling the air. He rolled to the side, twisted, and dropped altitude, aiming to land in a backwards slide as he swung his right hand up, left hand grasping his wrist to steady his aim.
A glowing white-gold light appeared at his finger tip, and then Aidan was firing spiritual bullets back at the gunpawn as he backpedaled after his friends.

Res made it through the exit moments after Elyas and similarly took a position at the other side of the door to provide cover, flinging Blades at the gun bots now shooting at Damien and Aidan.
With very few ranged options, Mei focused on safely getting to the exit with the others.

Ducking low and weaving between debris and fire, Grenadine caught up with the others beyond the exit and banked toward the left to take cover on the other side of the frame. She immediately began looking about at the entryway for a means to seal off or otherwise block their pursuers.
Did the exit to the hangar have a door? Were there crates or barrels or spare blast shields nearby?

As promised, he waited until the others got to Elyas before dropping out of the sky, to hoof it to the group. Once he rejoined them all, he drew his sword.
"Alright, where's the next move?"

Once everyone was through the door, Yuki touched a hand to the ground again, concentrating. All the ice she'd spread drew up and shifted suddenly into stalagmites, creating a field of spikes to hopefully pierce any standing over them, but at the very least blocking their path.
"That should buy us a moment." She looked a little strained, but nodded along with Damien as he asked about their next move.

Aidan kept backing up, laser fire and light blades cutting through the air on either side of him, until ice rose up between him and the frantic eggpawns. With a barrier established, he turned, and hurried after the others, chanting the magical command that mystically dissolved his wings.
"We catch up to the others and see what they found, and take the fight to-"
Aidan cut off as a violent shudder swept through the ship. The lights flickered, the running lights switching over to red emergency indicators.
"Looks like something's happening either outside or in," Elyas said, using one hand on the wall to keep his balance as he turned and proceeded down the hallway. "Which means we need to hurry before things get more unstable."
The exit the Raiders had moved through had a sliding door that had been left open, apparently controlled by a computer panel mounted on the wall beside it. As the ship shuddered and the lights shifted, a little message began to flash on the screen:
-CREW TO BRACE POSITIONS. SEPARATION IMMINENT.-

Reson caught sight of the flashing sign, "separation imminent? What that f-" and it dawned on her and then she finished the swear. "This ship comes apart! Elyas, where do we go?"
"It comes apart? There has to be a map or something showing where it breaks for the crew to get to the right areas." She quickly looked around the wall with the flashing pannel then glanced around the rest of the room to see if there were any signs.

The door was computer controlled. Well, that wouldn't do. Unless they had a security card or passcode, shutting the door behind would be impossible. A new problem had emerged anyway. She spoke up, nodding toward Mei. "Brace possitionss. I imagine it would be like a drop sship- sseatss or standing alcovess with sstrapss and harnesses."
She moved deeper into this next room searching much like Mei was. Signs or directions. An operation this big would need clear signage- it was a GUN ship, verbose safety protocols were standard.

"The ship... comes apart? What the hell?" Damien was incredulous at the declaration, but couldn't really think of anything else the announcement might mean. "Is he trying to escape?! And what's going to happen to whatever part gets left behind, does it just fall on the island and ruin a city?"
Damien was only passively looking for signs; he was more looking for more personnel moving about that they would have to break through. However, he was hoping that he could find bots moving away from them, so they could be followed.

Yuki kept an eye on their flank, knowing she wouldn't even begin to know what to look for other than other people.
"Why would anyone make their ship come apart, that's so stupid." She spoke more to herself as they all tried to find their way to survive whatever was about to happen.

"The ship comes-" Aidan cut himself off as everyone asked the same thing. "Right. Hn... alright, we need to keep going. If Demandred is trying to get away, then we can't find a place to brace - we need to find a way onto his half of the ship."
Elyas nodded and started moving down the hallway in a jog. "Agreed. We don't have the ships schematics, but a ship this size... if it separates, chances are we need to go up and toward the stern."
He lowered his rifle as they moved forward and checked his comms. "Line's jammed - we can't get word to the others. We'll just need to trust that they can handle what comes next. Hopefully this is the kind of ship that separates into two ships, and not the kind that discards its outer armor..."
The Raiders began to push into the ship, occasionally passing hallways down which they could hear the heavy clomping of metal feet. They did not come across any Mobian crew, although once they caught sight of a group of personnel in jump suits far down a hallway, racing down a different corridor. The major intersections were the worse, as eggpawns emerged to challenge their advance - often with little success...

Reson kept close to the front of the group to help pre-emptively take out any eggpawns in their way with Blades...
...and Mei rushed in low to cut out the legs of any Reson didn't hit with her tail and fans/claws...
...both of them occasionally rotating with the others so no one was drained too much as they advanced.

Grenadine chased after the others as they made their way deeper, searching for something- anything- to hold onto. Not knowing what might happen with this separation mechanic, the others speculated. Grenadine shook her head, calling after Damien. "It would be a wasste of ressourcess to crassh half the ssship. Maybe if it had undergone ssseriousss damage. If it doess, the Raiderss are on the ground to prevent a major crassh- ssso there'ss that." She seemed... somewhat? Confident?
Eggpawns gathered and prepared to get in their way. As the Raiders took turns launching assaults, another gaggle of bulky units stepped up to take point in their way.
From beside the gathered bots, a nearby maintenance panel blew off the wall with an explosion of sparkling mist. The panel, propelled by a pair of familiar felines- both spotted, one with white fur and the other dark, dark blue- careened into the gathered Egg Pawns. Things quickly devolved as the now frozen floor caused the pawns to slip and crash, unable to right themselves.
Kapp scrambled from the pile, reaching a hand out to pull Metzli from the ground as well. Turning to spot the others, he lifted a hand to frantically wave and shout toward them. "Yo! Things are going kinda crazy guys- but we got Avatar, and she's got deets, and we gotta move!"

"The stern?" Damien didn't know the parts of a ship, so simply trusted and followed the others. He flowed easily with the rotation Mei and Reson had established, keeping any one person from expending too much energy in their advance. It was starting to get tiresome though, and Damien grit his bared teeth as time wore on. He was fully prepared to take his mounting frustration out on the new group of bots ahead, just before controlled chaos unfolded and he was robbed of his therapy.
Metzli righted herself, wincing at the group of pawns on the ground, before waving excitedly at the group. "We got mad info! But we need to keep moving, y'know-- the ship's about to come apart!"

Yuki was likewise blank on how to navigate a ship, so she just focused on following the others and trading out for taking down eggpawns.
Her ears twitched right before the hatch blew off in front of them, a relieved smile on her face. Nodding as she saw Kapp shoot out, she was then surprised to see Metzli with him. Wondering what information they had, they were right in that they all needed to keep moving.
"Hai, we figured that part out. How are the others? Everything ok?"
