Wednesday, March 11th - Morning Team A: Elyas, Aidan, Grenadine, Damien, Resonance, Yuki, Mei Team B: Ender, Hope, Kapp, Metzli, Avatar, Zasha, Aloe
Aidan dove down through the loading shaft, Resonance on his back, Elyas hanging from his arms, his wings beating hard as they swooped down into the vehicle aerial loading bay. The others followed behind him - Damien, Yuki, Mei, and Grenadine. They left the flight deck behind and dropped into chaos.
The loading bay was swarming with robots, egg-shaped grey machines with bulky shoulders and arms, gesticulating wildly and frantically moving jets into position and piles of boxes out of the way. Near the far end of the loading bay, a group of robots had gathered around four larger robots of similar builds, but obviously more heavily armored with laser canons mounted on each shoulder. There seemed to be some kind of discussion going on.
And then one of the robots noticed the Raiders. And pointed.
"...What the shit!"
Aidan folded his wings, dropping several feet as laser fire began to fill the air around the Raiders.

"@*$!" Reson cursed and tighed her grip as Aidan suddenly dropped and laser blasts started flying. With a split second thought, she threw up several dozen small Blades between the group's entry area and the bots to act as chaff to block some of the laser blasts as the others fell through shortly after them.
Mei saw the blasts ahead of them as they descended and pulled the shadows around her - and by extension those she was touching - to try to give them at least a little protection. Extending her shadow wasn't a skill she'd practiced often outside of forming her tail and claws, but she beleived she could create at least some kind of buffer around the others where they were most vulnerable.

Laser fire. They'd been seen, but it looked as though these robotic minion were already scrambling in chaos. Taking advantage of the momentary barriers and shimmering darkness Mei provided, Grenadine continued climbing down the shaft.
Dexterous hands paused their rapid descent as Grenadine braced her back against the shaft wall, feet anchoring her in place- as the gecko was wont to do. She took a needle-like blade to the shoulder of her clay prosthesis and carved in a series of symbols- runes which glowed orange upon the circle's completion. A second later, Grenadine's form began to shimmer with a faint aura, her colors bleeding just faintly around the edges.
Laser fire caught her in her other shoulder. But rather than flinch back and shout in pain, the blast glanced off of the metaphysical barrier and scorched the shaft wall beside her. She sighed mentally, Alastair was a liar and a sneak, yes, but the parlor tricks he'd hastily taught her were paying off. She dropped several feet, caught herself, dropped again, keeping pace with the gliders and the fliers. "Keep moving. They don't look particularly smart."

"Crap!" Keeping his sword in his right hand, Damien dipped low as well, noting both Mei's buffer and Gren's stopping. Damien was in the middle of asking what the hell she was doing when she started inscribing runework, forcing him to slow down with Mei because he wouldn't let Gren get left behind so far. So, when she caught up, Damien wiggled a foot at her--it's all he could do, as he was busy guiding himself, Yuki, and Mei down otherwise.
"Geeze, don't do that to me!"
Beat.
"Oh, this is how it feels to have someone do something useful, but without notice."

"Kuso!" Yuki swore with the others as they were suddenly bombarded with fire. Anchoring one hand against Damien, she swept the other through the air, rapidly repeating her call word as a frosty mist started filling the air in front of them. She couldn't block all the shots coming in at them, but she could definitely give the group some visual cover.

"Commander, prepare for drop," Aidan said as he ducked into a dive. "Res - prepare to jump!" His words to Resonance where accompanied by a sudden flash - not quite an image, not quite a thought, but somewhere in between - of her backflipping off of him while he provided cover fire from above.
A moment later, it kicked off.
Aidan dove near the ground and released Elyas behind a pile of crates. He then spread his wings and swept sharply upward, providing Resonance with a launch pad as he reached the crest of his rise. Tucking his wings, Aidan twisted in mid-air to get his feet below him, throwing open his wings and arms as electricity crackled around him.
Overhead running lights exploded into showers of sparks as jagged bolts of electricity rained down on the robots in the hangar below, drawn toward their metal shells like the lightning rods they were.
Elyas hit the ground and rolled back up onto his feet, keeping his body low to the ground as he sprinted around the center of the conflict, keeping to cover as much as possible as he sought to reach the exit on the far end of the bay.
Blades of light, swathes of darkness, mystical barriers, and a cloud of frosty fog all served to deflect the laser fire and obscure the Raiders as theymounted their retaliation, beginning with the lightning storm Aidan unleashed on the hapless robots. Many of the laborers jerked and smoked as the lightning raced through their frames while the heavier-armored laser-mounted warriors seemed to engage barriers that absorbed and redirected the electricity, though it meant a temporary reprieve from their bombardment.

((Res)) Perfectly in sync, Reson backflipped off Aidan at the right moment and landed shortly after Elyas. She ran after him, summoning several Blades to hover beside her for quick shots when needed.
((Mei)) Once they were through the barrage, Mei pulled the shadows more firmly around herself. “Ready!” She shouted to Damien so he knew he could drop her.

Grenadine winced a little at the chiding. "Sssorry. Ssstill getting ussed to the ritualss." She continued her way downward, breaking drops with momentary catches along the wall. When she touched down, she kept toward the middle of the group. Spotting Elyas, she tumbled and slinked through similar cover- not quite following in his footsteps, but certainly following his lead.

Damien released Mei at her word, leaving him with Yuki. He swooped low to the ground before slowly releasing her. If Yuki seemed to scramble and show any unreadiness to disembark then he'd tighten his grip on her, but he was otherwise flying behind Aidan, a fireball launched to help lower the numbers of the enemies the team was dealing with.

Yuki was focused on her mist, but hearing Mei call out, and Damien drop them lower, she managed to stammer out a "Ready!" even as she was let go of.
She stumbled a bit on landing, but was quick to recover, her steps turning from patter to glides as she started skating across thin ice trails after Elyas.

Aidan brought his hands down, the lights in the hangar exploding as he pulled strands of lightning down upon the robots, taking care to channel the tendrils away from his companions. As he did, Damien swept in below and hurled a fireball into the middle of the armored egg pawns hiding behind electrical shields. One was struck by the fireball and exploded, aiding in the detonation of the fireball to blow all of the armored egg pans aside.
The hangar bay was in chaos.
"Keep moving!" Elyas shouted as he sprinted forward, raising his rifle to the shoulder. Rather than firing at every robot he could find, he saved his ammunition for any that moved to intercept them, though few did. There was an open hatch leading deeper into the ship a dozen or two yards in front of them; Elyas sprinted and trusted his companions to provide cover.
The pawns were scrambling. Several had been downed by the lightning and scattered by the fireball, some were running about waving appendages that were on fire, and the only ones that seemed well-armored enough to fight the Raiders were still trying to recover from the blitzkreig.
One unlucky eggpawn managed to get in front of the Raiders, holding up one hand as though it could will them to stop.

Reson kept up with Elyas, moving to his side to take up a flanking position. When she saw the bot raise it's hand ahead of them, she let loose a quick volley of Blades at it.
Mei dropped from Damien and cushioned her landing with a layer of shadows. Once on the ground, her shadow tail whipped out behind her and she sprinted after the others.

Grenadine bounded forward limber and agile as her companions spread out to rush and flank. One of the pawns stopped to try and slow them down with a gesture, only for Resonance to start hurling blades at it. There was no time to be polite, no time to slow down. As the reptile approached, she clapped her hands and summoned forth a crackling blue light. Crouching mid dash she tapped the ground feet from the pawn.
The grated metal floor beneath the pawn became like jelly for several moments, metal liquefying as gravity did its thing. The effect was momentary, promising to capture its legs and hold it in place as the girl ran past.

He wasn't wanting for energy at all, and had no problem providing cover for the Commander as he rushed to the hatch. "There's our way," Damien called out over the din of chaos, "follow Elyas! I'm right behind you!"
Between Resonance and Grenadine, Damien didn't have to so much as think about the lone Egg Pawn hoping to stop the rush, so he kept up the pressure. Moving close to Pawns that were extinguishing flames, Damien raked his hands at them, Venom tearing the air to rip into their bodies.

Yuki followed with the others, continuing to skate to keep up her spee. As Resonance and Grenadine took care of the Pawn ahead of them, she followed up by laening to the side, sliding to press her palm against the floor for a moment. Ice spread rapidly out from either side of the group, coating the ground and making those nearby or trying to approach have uneven footing, while leaving the way out clear for them.
