Time moved on.
Another week, and the restoration efforts in Metropolis were in full swing. With the League of Nations providing aid, the city had begun deconstructing downed Argus airships and cleaning up the infrastructure damage Demandred’s Dark Reign had done. Foremost amongst the destruction to be excavated was the former headquarters of the Raiders in New Haven and the TDF in Edgepointe.
Both organizations had a lot of work to do. The Raiders had gained significant support in the city, both amongst the supernatural community and the the non-meta community, and had taken upon themselves the additional responsibilities of patrolling the city to aid the limited resources of the Tolarian Police Department. The Tolarian Defense Force would take considerably longer to reorganize and rebuild, and with little command structure left in place, the remnants had joined forces with the League of Nations to further assist cleanup efforts in Metropolis.
For everyone else, life had begun to return to normal. After a prolonged break due to the fighting in the city, schools would be starting up once more on the following Monday - all except the Aegis School, whose faculty were seeing better employment by the Raiders, their special skills being put to use in accelerating the city’s reconstruction efforts.
There was an abundance of free time for those with no classes to attend, and an abundance of work for those who wanted to help contribute. Even the weather was cooperating for once as the seasonal snows ebbed and allowed the sun to shine for a few days.
